Speedy in Oz (1934) is the twenty-eighth book in the Oz series and the fourteenth written by Ruth Plumly Thompson, with illustrations by John R. Neill. The story centers on Speedy, a boy from America who previously appeared in The Yellow Knight of Oz. The adventure begins when Speedy and a dinosaur skeleton are blown into the sky by a geyser at Yellowstone National Park. The skeleton magically comes to life as Terrybubble, and together they land on Umbrella Island—a floating island powered by a giant umbrella.
