Curation for mantle

For my customer’s mantle, I curated a unique and appealing collection of books that complement the French Antique fish candlestick my customer wants to place atop books. The first book is a vintage Easton Press edition of “Moby Dick” from the 1970s, bound in genuine leather with 22k gold inlays, silk ribbon bookmark and gilded page edges, featuring illustrations by Boardman Robinson.

Alongside this classic, I selected a marbled leather-bound Swedish book from 1939, adorned with colorful fold-out maps & beautiful illustrations. To tie the theme together, an antique bronze whale bookmark adds a touch of elegance and whimsy, connecting the literary pieces to the oceanic motif of the candlestick.
